The food was good; one of us had a pizza and the other one had the round pizza with the salad in the middle. However, the manager was borderline rude and seemed very put out at having to be there.

To be honest i do enjoy pizza express but after the first few times it's nothing special, it is very impersonal and the manager that was on when I went there came across as being very rude

Was really late Saturday night during the festival but wasn't long til we were seated. We had a goats cheese pizza and polenta chips and it was delicious. Staff were lovely even though it was busy.

During a visit for the Edinburgh Fringe we decided to go to Pizza Express. Very busy, which we expected but messy tables, messy floors and squashed together like sardines. Pizza was very burnt at edges and salad had too much dressing, which was put on...More

Pizza Express is what the Edinburghers call a "great" italian restaurant but actually it's not that good: the food is nice but it doesn't really taste like the italian one. I tried a lasagna and a pizza; I have to admit that the lasagna was...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
