We came here the other day with my fiancee for breakfast. It was full so we were kindly informed that our food might take a while. It did, but we didn't mind. Really nice atmosphere and lovely food. Would definitely recommend.

We walkwed here from our hotel on a Carlton Hill. It took 30 mins but worth it. Friendly relaxed atmosphere, child and dog friendly. Lovely produce cooked well and yards from the Botanical Gardens. Would definitely return.

We stopped into the Blue Bear on our recent trip to Edinburgh at the request of our Airbnb host. It did not disappoint! The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The staff were attentive but did not hover or make us feel like we needed to rush. It's a great spot for a casual breakfast or brunch before heading out... More

Stopped in for brunch before going to the botanic gardens and had breakfast rolls and hummus. Coffee was decent, breakfast rolls good but pretty sure it was frozen hash browns like you'd buy in the shop. We didn't like the hummus, it was very earthy and didn't have much flavor to it.

Awesome brunch with friends at The Blue Bear. Super yummy food and fantastic service. I had The Hector...an Eggs Benedict style dish with vegetarian Haggis. A must!

First time in the blue bear cafe but definitely not the last. The menu is excellent, full of great choice of food. I had waffle with mixed berries and creme fraiche and my husband tried the meaty breakfast burrito. Both dishes were very tasty and well presented. Service was 5star. Very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again soon
