Another beautifully presented three course lunch enjoyed at Purslane. Flavours are clean, fresh and delicious! Recommend the Prosecco too! Fantastic service every time. Thank you.

One of the best meals we have had in a long time. Friendly, helpful staff, fresh-baked bread, artistically presented dishes that were both novel and very tasty.

Very happy to give this place five stars. The food and atmosphere were excellent from start to finish. Not cheap but very much worth the cost. The fish dishes and cheese were first rate complemented by a very good bottle of Chablis with port to...More

Superb food in a small unassuming venue. Staff very helpful and adapted menu to accommodate gluten and dairy free requests. All courses were imaginative, beautifully presented and delicious.

We went to Purslane for a 3 course midweek lunch with matching wines. The food was superb. We swithered about the matching wines, thinking 3 glasses might be too much at lunch, but we’re really glad we took them! The lovely (& discreet) waiter gave...More

Stockbridge & Dean Village
Just downhill of New Town and attractively straddling
a river near the elegant Royal Botanic Garden, it’s
small wonder that Stockbridge became one of the city’s
first hip neighbourhoods. It’s now one of Edinburgh’s
most desirable, though many bohemian touches have
fallen away as its residents have matured and the area
has gentrified. Some second-hand shops cling on, but
mostly residents display refined tastes in basement

Hello due to the premises license children under 6 can’t eat in the restaurant but if they are older they are more than welcome to dine at night.

No, it's in the lower ground floor of a building and has stone steps down to it, which is unfortunate if you are not so able bodied as its a great restaurant.
