Had an excellent dinner here. We found the place while walking and thought we'd give it a try. Place was reasonably full at 6.00 pm. The service was quick and efficient. Highly recommended for something that was very authentic.

Good service, however the tuna sashimi was a bit old and the others plates were huge but of low quality. The presentation of the dishes was not so accurate. Nothing special. We paid a lot for what we had.

I've eaten here enough to say that the food is always delicious (and of such variety) and while sometimes the service can be slow, they are always helpful and welcoming! The Kanpyo Hoso Panko and Wakame (seaweed salad) are my favorites. I take all my...More

We visited the other day and were really let down. Miso soup on arrival was Yo!Sushi level of bland. My partner ordered a rainbow roll which was fresh and pleasant enough but a friend and I each ordered the ramen and were completely let down....More

Having never eaten Japanese food we were unsure what to order. We asked for help and we were guided through the menu. Bit of a shame my main arrived before my starters did? But hey ho in ya go. The dumplings are delightful as was...More

My wife and I went to Koyama the other night and have to say that the restaurant and food was ok, but would not hurry back. The wine list choice was pretty limited and the service was a bit slow.

We got the rice bento box with tofu, katsu sauce and pumpkin croquettes. The katsu sauce didn't taste anything like proper katsu sauce (coming from someone who has tried katsu in Tokyo). The service was too slow for lunch time and the waiter even forgot...More

We ordered nigiri and it was not sushi rice. Unagi was alright. Won't go back if I crave for REAL Japanese food.

We used to go to the other Japanese further down the road, but their quality came down in recent times so we tried this. Absolutely wonderful and great value for money. Delicious sushi, fresh fish, soups, salads, chicken dishes. Impeccable service.

We had some very average tasting sushi during the Festival after a 7:00 p.m. show. The service was very good but the sushi not very special compared to what I have had in the Pennsylvania suburbs and strip shopping malls. The tempura dishes were much...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
