My girlfriend and I have been coming here almost every week for the past 2 years. The Nachos are fantastic, the popcorn chicken is also fantastic. I can't really review anything else as that's all we've been ordering for 2 years! Don't fix something that...More

This pub was recommended to us by local residents as a great place for interesting vegan food. It is close to the uni, so full of students, but welcoming to our older group. On a Saturday afternoon it was busy, with lots of people eating...More

The bar server who helped us was very kind and friendly--definitely made our experience great! My boyfriend and I shared their famous nachos and were not disappointed at all. It tasted great, and there was so much food, we didn't even finish it!

We ate here as they can cater for all the diets in our group. We had their legendary nachos! Me and my partner shared the one for 2 people and this was plenty big enough, we managed it but it was tough. The 3 other...More

Loved the vegan hotdog served with fries. The portion was hugh though. The chicken popcorn was tasty as well but again it was too much to finish. A variety of craft beer to choose from to go with the food. Atmosphere wise, it’s a place...More

Great place to visit, food was delicious and the nachos didn’t disappoint at all, albeit the small portion was a mammoth task and one alas that I was beaten by. The Mrs has the pulled pork burrito and wasn’t disappointed at all, a great plate...More

I love the music, I love the service, I love the range of drinks, but most of all I love the food. Mac'n'Cheese with a basil and breadcrumb topping is the best I have had in ages.

Description
The Home Of Edinburgh's Largest Nachos! We serve quality pub food in nice big portions. Favourites include our famous nachos, burgers, hot dogs and burritos. Lots of our dishes are vegetarian and many are vegan. We are very passionate about beer. We serve Brewdog's Punk IPA and Brooklyn Lager permanently, and our guest ale comes from craft breweries such as Alechemy, Dark Star, Five Points, Fyne Ale, Magic Rock, Moor, Summer Wine and Tiny Rebel. Our jukebox is legendary in Edinburgh for having the best selection of metal, punk and goth music. Bands such as Alice In Chains, Black Flag, Danzig, Deftones, Kyuss, Mastodon, Nick Cave, Nitzer Ebb, Rage Against The Machine and Tiger Army make up the soundtrack to a stay in The Auld Hoose. Children are not permitted on the premises at any time, and we don't take reservations. Oh yeah, students get a 10% discount on all food purchases!
