Big portions, tasty food, fast service, value for money, decoration was traditional or exotic. We were lucky that it was open at 22:30 in the night (others were closed)

We found this place by chance and saw locals eating there - always a good sign 😉 The food was indeed very good and cheap. Great for a budget meal.

Not much of a noodle bar connoisseur, but enjoyed food, the portion sizes were generous and it all came pretty quickly - within 5-10 mins. The price was reasonable too.

I visited here with my boyfriend. We had deep fried chilli beef to start which was nice and fresh! He had a duck dish for main, and I had a fish/chicken/pork dish. Both were served hot and with a LOT of egg fried rice. Its costs no more than a takeaway, and the portions are certainly big. I also enjoyed... More

Great food, served really hot. Wine from Australia for less tha £9 a bottle (Sirahz). Only down, we had to ask for every single thing. They are somehow begginners with a nice attitude.

This place does what it says on the tin, its cheap and the food is tasty. Service isn't great but it's not bad either, the food is cooked quickly and tastes good. This isn't the place for fine dining but provides you with tasty meals for great prices. This place is ideal if you're in a rush and the food... More

I ve been there for my birthday and to be honest i liked everything. The only not good thing is that they bring u everything at one time and you risk to eat something cold... anyway good price and massive portion!

Don't be scared by the appearance this place may look a bit rough round the edges but the food is first class. A really good varied menu, with traditional Asian dishes and homemade delicious dishes as well which is great for the adventurous. The food is really good value with no thrills just good no nonsense tasty grub. The service... More

The food its not good and everything is a little bit dirty. The staff wasn´t nice and even after a big mistake with the order they didnt say sorry. I went there two times but the second oportunity was the last for sure. Definitly its not asian food. I cant recommend to somebody.

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
