Was recommended by a friend, staff very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and reasonably priced.

We were very impressed by the service; the presentation of the food was remarkable and cooked to perfection. Not cheap but not horrendously expensive either - good value for money. The waiters knew their stuff and were attentive without being overbearing. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a late lunch and luckily used TripAdvisor for advice and found this place. Don't be discouraged by the small tables outside. We had fish and chips, with dessert and enjoyed every aspect of our experience.

To start with the positives - the service here was great and the atmosphere pleasant enough. The food however was a different story. Although well presented it lacked flavour, wasn't very warm and was over priced. Disappointing.

The three course lunch menu is excellent value and the service is very efficient. We've been on a number of occasions now and have never been disappointed. In fact we wouldn't choose to go anywhere else if we were having a lunch in Edinburgh.

Great place to eat just before Tattoo performance. We ate at 17:00 and left at 19:15 in good time to get to Tattoo. The trout starter was really delicious and beautifully presented with black pudding and chocolate sauce. Our party chose slow cooked beef, pork...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the

Check out the website. All on there. Recommend the haggis or parfait to start, rabbit loin or fillet for main, and apple strudel/tart for dessert.
