Good night out and great food and atmosphere. Staff always attentive. Highly recommend this place. Close to haymarket railway station and also Edinburgh City centre as well as walking distance from Murrayfield Stadium.

Poor food with no taste and even it’s not cooked properly that made my stomach sore. Very bad experience

Booked a week before going as busy due to 6 nations rugby, paid deposit as 14 of us to secure table. Arrived on the night, slightly early, offered drinks whilst we waited and after a few minutes shown to the table. Menu was excellent with...More

Omar Khayyam is delicious Indian food. On the same block as the Hilton-Grovesnor at Haymarket. Shared a Chicken Tikka appetizer amongst three of us. Mains of Sindhabad Special Mix, Channa Masala, and Saag. Naans are about 50% larger than at other places. Ambiance good, wait...More

Managed to fit us in last minute on a very busy six nations afternoon. Food was unreal, service was quick and the atmosphere was great. Price isn't too bad either! Couldn't fault it, well recommended.

I have eaten here maybe 5 times and it never fails to impress. Really tasty food and all dishes have good quality ingredients and are, according to a good friend who is from India, really authentic. I will be back again in the near future.

It was pretty busy but service was still good, food was good, prices reasonable, overall we enjoyed it. Only problem I asked for some extra choped chillies and was charged 95p, that's a first, hay-Ho.

Went for a quick dinner with my dad who is very particular about both his restaurants and Indian food and he thoroughly enjoyed both. It was quiet but waiters were very attentive without harassing us, food was delicious - I opted for a ‘healthy’ option...More

West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in
industrial Britain had their most desirable
neighbourhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes.
Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest
citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind
grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel
crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and
sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along
