A great little but friendly pub. We had some food and drinks here which was fantastic. First time visit for my mate but he would definitely go back on his next visit.

We have visited Edinburgh on numerous occasions but have never felt the need to visit this pub thinking it was ‘too touristy’. How wrong I was, great pub with great staff and with a good selection of drinks. Table service (due to Covid) was the...best we have ever experienced. Despite being relatively busy we were served really quickly. On one occasion I put my empty glass down on the table and it was 19 seconds before I was asked if I wanted another drink. However it never felt that we were being pushed or hurried in any way. A special mention to Michael, Blair and Mick and Marcus who served us.More

Pretty standard pub fare and atmosphere. The staff was really friendly and this is a good place to grab a pint and a bite.

They have great wine, beers & "bangin" fish & chips with peas. You'll not be disappointed. 😋 Service was friendly, covid rules followed to a t.

Overrated gimmicky pub. The food was awful frozen microwaved stodge. The beer wasn't cold enough and tasted flat and the staff were rude. So many good pubs nearby too - 9A in Holyrood Rd or head down Victoria St and Grassmarket. Never again.More

We were in Edinburgh for a few days, as part of a road trip. One evening, walking back to the hotel at about 8:30ish, we popped in for a nightcap. We were directed to the bar area that was really busy. We found some high...seats by the side of the wall. There’s a good solid beer selection and whisky selection. Friendly atmosphere and friendly clientele. My one disappointment was that the dining area by now was pretty much empty. If we’d had a table with some space it would have been perfect. I felt they were a little enthusiastic keeping that area free given the time of day that it was.More

Our local for the week, The World's End has the best atmosphere of all the public houses we visited during our 4 night stay. Great service, friendly staff and very reasonably priced food and drinks. Add to that, the best steak we've eaten in a...pub in a very long time!! Thanks for having us!!More

This is our favourite place for meals and a drink in Edinburgh. Really friendly and helpful staff. The food is always superb which considering the tiny kitchen is remarkable. Lots of history in the pub. A must visit for anyone going to the Royal Mile.

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the

Most of the time I would say no, But during major holidays like Easter or big sporting events probably yes. During the Edinburgh festival most places don't take bookings because of 'No Shows'.
