Enjoyed our first wedding anniversary evening in our favourite restaurant. Still great food, atmosphere and staff. Thank you for a pleasant evening.

Welcoming and friendly staff.. Pleasant surroundings. Comfortable. We only had a main course - 3 had the lamb, 2 had the hake, and we all loved what we had. I really enjoyed the lamb, so tender and tasty. No room for dessert but very good...More

I brought my Italian customers here for a midweek dinner. The food and service was excellent, everyone complimented the food. I can’t wait to come back. Thanks again!

This very small, adorable restaurant is where we had dinner for my daughter's 21st birthday while in Edinburgh. The lone waiter was delightful and made of experience a memorable one. The food was so delicious and creative without being stuffy. This was a thoroughly wonderful...More

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening with you. Service was excellent- friendly, knowledgeable about menu and wine, there when needed but quite unobtrusive. The meal - enjoyed beautiful smoked beef fillet starter, sea bass which was quite delicious and isle de flottante which was the loveliest dessert...More

Had lunch here on Saturday and this was my first visit to the restaurant. The staff are very friendly, helpful and provide good service. They have a very reasonably priced Daily Menu with a good selection to suit all tastes. Would recommend and I will...More

Special dinner for my better half. Could not fault the service and the food was excellent. Not cheap but worth every penny.

Had a really tasty lunch here. Two courses from the daily menu and shared a sweet from the a la carte menu. Mellow atmosphere and laid back, friendly service (and the most comfortable restaurant chair ever!) Would definitely recommend.

You can walk from the Balmoral within 10 minutes. It's mainly a flat route. Depends how fit your parents are.

Probably on the day if not a big nil number of people and you didn't mind what time. Otherwise I'd give it a week or two in advance just to make sure. Thanks Vikki
