So a long drive after a long conference and we were more than ready for a spa trip followed by a great meal and this was a great meal. High quality food at good prices for what we got. Wide choice on the menu, quality meats and fish, vegetable and salads so fresh you'd hardly think they had travelled more... More

I had a starter and main course and both were excellent. On the servers recommendation I had fish & chips as my main course as it's one of their specialities and it was excellent (I love my fish and chips so a high bar to get over). The starter was also great, too full for pudding. Breakfast in the Brasserie... More

My husband & I have eaten here at least half a dozen times over the past 18 months and usually this is a foolproof dining experience. However, our lunch on Friday left a lot to be desired, and I'm afraid we won't be rushing back. Firstly, only two other tables were occupied in the entire restaurant, which is somewhat unusual... Our second visit to this venue. Previous visit fantastic - tonight staff could not be bothered - weren't asked if we wanted wine. Pre-dinner drinks glasses & mixer bottles still on the table when we left. My husband ordered a medium rare sirloin steak, when it eventually arrived he could hardly cut it. He returned it - to irder the... More

We received a voucher for Christmas for one night, dinner, breakfast and the use of the spa. We booked our visit well in advance. The Brasserie was lovely, loverly decor, a little on the dark side, was a beautiful night and all the shutters were half closed and low lighting. On arrival the staff were very attentive. We were shown... More

Our first time to this hotel/brasserie/wedding reception venue. We took advantage of a Groupon 2 for 1 deal. Booking a table was easy & faultless and service was very good throughout. But all you really need to know is that the food was terrific. The chef(s) show pride in the food, that's obvious with the presentation and the lovely tastes.... More

My husband and I had a delicious lunch here on Monday afternoon. The service was excellent and surroundings lovely. I had the mackerel, beautifully served with rhubarb. My husband had piping hot minestrone soup . Next course was tender steak and ale pie with a crispy topping, served with tasty veg. My husband had a huge battered haddock served with... More

My wife and I dined here over two nights as we were staying in the hotel. The place was relatively busy but the service was prompt. We enjoyed our meals and would recommend the chicken and the pork dishes. Both were amazing. We were allowed to order drinks and desserts to our room.
