We came here for dinner a few weeks ago & liked it so much we returned a week later! We don't live in the area, so that shows you how impressed we were! Beautiful traditional old inn with several dining rooms. Service was very good, friendly & efficient. Food was top quality, and at the right temperatures. Really good value,... More

Called in for lunch as had not visited for some time. My partner and I chose from the two courses for £12:95 menu. Portions were good and well presented and very tasty. Will be back again to try more of the menu.

Went here today with my husband. The staff were very attentive and the meal was lovely. We had cullen skink and vegetable tempura to start with and then steak pie and chicken and leak in a cream sauce. Both were cooked to perfection, helpings great and the bill even better - £30 for two 2 course lunches and two soft... More

Said it in the title, it's very good, couldn't fault the meal. We both went for the rump steak and trimmings and we're not disappointed, everything was cooked to perfection and service was really good. Would have given 5 stars if they had a fridge for the soft drinks, just a wee suggestion :)

We were taken here for a family meal prior to a cinema trip. The food was superb, everyone really enjoyed their meal. I opted for the steak pie and wasn't disappointed. The gravy in it was full of flavour and there was a very good amount of well cooked tender meat in it. The accompanying veg was cooked just right... More

My fiancee & I turned up without a booking just before 6 on Valentine's night & we were fortunate enough to get a table. The service throughput was excellent & we were lucky enough to still get the 2 course special for £12.95. The food could not be faulted & the lasagne is as good as any I've tasted &... More

Excellent. served to order and plates were hot. Good menu with plenty to choices. The starter of Cullen skink is a speciality and you must try it.
