Had breakfast here whilst staying in the adjacent Guest House. It's clean, but that is all I can say that is good. Really cheap ingredients, not big portions, just really not very good at all. Many better places locally, where you will get local quality ingredients. very disappointing. Wrote to management, no answers. AVOID

Good valued food presented and served in a cheerful and welcoming manner. Cafe ideally placed in-between car park and town centre.

We stopped here and sat by one of the windows providing a lovely view of the river. We ate bacon rolls (mmmm goood!) and had a coffee, which was also very good. This is a lovely spot to sit, have a coffee and watch the river with its ducks! Recommend

Sonia's was an unexpected find whilst passing through Hawick on Friday 7th October 2016 whilst on-route to Coldstream. We had stopped for a spot of light lunch after having driven up from West Lancashire earlier in the morning. We had a very nice ham and cheese toasted sandwich with salad and a cup of rather nice coffee. It was a... More

We popped in for Saturday lunch with kids and parents-in-law. Service was friendly and although it was counter service the waitress came over and took our order at the table. Food was all piping hot and good size portions. Great atmosphere and a lovely view out over the river. Good value for money too

I paid £4.95 per person extra for a breakfast, and it was the worst I have ever had, hawick has three award winning butchers, who make their own superb sausages and haggis, but this guest house uses cheap frozen tasteless foam type sausages, and they were undercooked, the fried egg was also undercooked and very pale, so not free range!,... Sonia was very sweet and did her best to come up with all kinds of food to serve us. She made us a nice English breakfast together with her fantastic Italian lentils. Thank you so much! Jerney, Francis & Bram

Whilst down in the Borders area we visited this establishment due to the reviews and it was perfect for us. Nothing wrong with their burger and chips or the meatballs - we went twice as we were so happy with it. Free parking is available across the bridge a few minutes away and the caff sits right next to the... More
