Loved it here, great service from friendly staff and great food. We had scallops, bread, beef cheeks and a special of sea bass with prawns and scallops. All of it was great. Our bill which included a cocktail, beer and a bottle of Malbec was...£90 which for the quality of the food was good value. I also got some tips for my Spanish from Alberto, great stuff!More

Booked online a while ago because of Covid, and was really impressed. Received an email/text checking I wanted the reservation and then the table was ready, as requested exactly on time. The menu was varied and service brilliant. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The facilities...were clean and Covid conscious.More

It is a couple of years since we were last here. You always worry dont you when you go back somewhere that has conjured wonderful memories over the last few years, you worry it will have been knocked about and ruined. Not t so The...George. Thank goodness. It is still dark (even on a sunny day) the log fires lit, the huge old oak tables and the woodsmoke in the air. We decided to have the Cullen Skink as a main, and it was stupendous. The bowls were huge, filled to the brim, thick, full of smoked fish and of the most superior quaity of anywhere we go in Scotland. Nice warm crustly rolls, butter and a good coffee. I mean what more could anyone ask in life. This place is a bit of history, unchanged in years. The bar is a dream to look at, a myriad of whiskies and quaint twinkly lights. Funny it always feels Christmassy in here even in October. Very nice staff as well.More

Had dinner here; Scallop starter which was cooked to perfection, followed by a good portion of mac n cheese. Had drinks out the back as not allowed to drink inside because Sturgeon says so. Anyway great set up out back and whilst the weather wasn't...great there was plenty of shelter and heat from the woodburners.More

Great place for food! We visit Inveraray for the day and we had lunch at this restaurant. Nice and very cosy restaurant with a few fireplaces that make the atmosphere absolutely amazing. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had the steak pie...(delicious, highly recommended), the macaroni and cheese, the bread with olive oil and the goat cheese salad (highly recommended as well). Prices are normal and the food is delicious. Having a booking will also help! Definitely coming back!More

I don't think so, I have never seen any when I have been, there are very few restaurants here do allow dogs.

Heather, I've not stayed in the apartments myself. I would certainly expect there to be a kettle provided. To be sure, give them a call or an email. I'm sure they won't mind you asking.
