In Portsoy for 1 night, this pub was sooo welcoming, bar maid was excellent and made us feel really welcome, locals easily included us in their conversations, which is not always the case in small towns. Busy, cosy atmosphere with log stove, tv and music. definitely recommend. The building needs some maintenance attention.

The Shore Inn is a pub with a lot of character. Friendly bar staff and log burning stove. They are no longer serving food but you can order it in. Right on the harbour with craft beer what more could you want.

Spent a happy couple of hours in the Shore Inn. Traditional old pub. Full of locals but all very friendly. Good range of bottled beers and local ales. Food looked ok but didnt try anyhting The gents toilets are not great but probably too small to make major changes

Second visit to The Shore Inn, and definitely not disappointed with food and hospitality. Not the best choice for vegetarian, but what there was, was delicious. Last time has mushroom stroganoff, which was so tasty, and this time has macaroni cheese which was very tasty. Staff so helpful. Will definitely visit again

Lively old pub situated on the harbour looking out to sea. Has a bistro and good selection of beers. Had an excellent Cullen skink, best I've tasted. Chef told me he was entering a competition with it. I'm sure it will do well. Also had very good jacket potato with chicken and mushrooms.

We read about the Shore Inn in a magazine in our holiday cottage. There it said that the Inn was under new management with a new cook and was serving excellent food. When we went in there was no food available, in fact the kitchen was closed and the interior was nothing like what was described in the mag. Having... More
