Have been coming here for more years than I care to remember. It doesn't change much and doesn't need to . For us it is one of the landmark places in Newcastle which we visit frequently. Coffee, lunch, ice cream they do it all and very well at a reasonable price.

Ducked into this lovely cafe for lunch as the rain belted down outside. The staff were very helpful and the food we had we all enjoyed very much. The baked potatoes were a good big helping and we were all a bit full by the end. Was great to see the sea from the comfort of the cafe, great views... More

Regular visitor to the area and avid supporters of The Strand. Great choice of ice creams and as well as sit dining, good old fashioned street facing ice cream window for serving meaning if you have kids or just want a treat to eat beside the sea you have got it. Great selection of flavours and colours to suit all... More

We had a day out in Newcastle. Called here for lunch. It was very nice and not expensive. Staff were very nice. I would go back again for a very reasonable good lunch.

The girl who served us was friendly and service was quick. The decor needs updating. Its not a place i would go to for a dinner but if your... More

Even though they were so busy the staff were just so lovely and helpful. Great service, tasty food and very reasonably priced. Will be back soon.

Were out for a cycle in the area and called for a coffee and snack. This we had served out at the front of the restaurant as it was a pleasant day. The coffee and food was just ok my husbands coffee was cold. Before leaving we decided to use the toilet facilities, I wish we had checked them out... More

Having visited recently I was completely disappointed and don't think I will ever be back. When we entered the place was quite quiet and waitresses were standing talking, despite every unfilled table full of dirty dishes and ones with no dishes on were not wiped. When we sat down at a dirty table eventually a young girl came over, Marie... More
