We have been here a few times when visiting Newcastle and it is always an enjoyable experience. Called in last week and we shared a sandwich, a scone and a pot of tea. All was excellent. Freshly made and tasty. The staff here are always pleasant and service is prompt. Good, varied lunch menu. Free wi-fi and really good photos... More

Wrote a review giving five stars for this cafe sometime ago. We go once or twice a week spending between £12.50 to £15. This time my friend returned her full cup of coffee because it was too strong and asked for a replacement, a swap. They charged for the replacement "we have to do that" he said, which is unusually... While I was staying in the Newcastle area I was always on the lookout for somewhere to have a good coffee. I visited the Savoy on at least three occasions, they were always quite busy, so for me that was an indication that it was an ok place. It certainly wasn't the best place I've ever been to, but the... More

This is a hidden gem in Newcastle, only for a friends recommendation I would have missed it. I have been several times recently for breakfast and lunch, lovely. It's a great place to catch up with a friend. The foods really good, wide choice that covers all needs. The washroom upstairs is extremely clean. Lovely, friendly and attentive staff too.... More

I've tried all the cafes in town multiple times, and none come close to the quality and consistency of the Savoy. Great coffee, service with a smile and some lovely artwork. 10/10 would recommend. Ps. Daniel is great with old people.

Visited in the area for a few days, we had cod goujons the first day which were great. The following day after climbing Slieve Donard we called again and had the best and tastiest burger I ever had, so good we had it again the following day. Definitely calling again when I am back in Newcastle.

Went with 5 other people for lunch after a short wait for a larger table. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We all ordered a different dish which included 4 different types of salads. They were all freshly made and had a very vibrant taste as I sampled them all. This is a small but very busy place and I would... More
