Do not expect quick service. The bar is crowded and you are lucky to get a seat. But it is worth it to grab a beer by the bar and just experience the old decor and look.

Brilliant. We stopped in for a cheeky cider and stayed for ages. We were welcomed in to one of the booths by some regulars and chatted for couple hours about nothing and everything. Great buzz and a lovely historic building. What's not to like?

Only had 1 guiness here with family but what a venue, mahogany booths ( you'd need to be early to snag these), great stained glass, tiles and woodwork everywhere. Guiness was good too.

Architecturally interesting design and worth a visit just fo rteh experience. Didn't check out the restaurant upstairs, but the downstairs is pretty quirky, like a bunch of confessionals side by side to create very private booths...... However, I wouldn't be going back in a hurry,...More

Old Style and if you want a drink and a 'wee' bit of the craic head down to the Crown. Busy spot but it's central and well liked. the SNUG Experience is recommended - we just squeezed our way in and and made friends with...More

As it’s a historical building run by the National Trust I believe. I would recommend just turning up at opening time which is 11am and go in, it was empty when we got there on a Friday. It’s a fabulous place but the food is... More

Yes, it had street access but not sure if there is wheelchair access to the booths. Take her anyway as it’s lovely.

I was there on a weekday afternoon and there was no wait to sit in the upstairs dining area. I was seated right away but, there was only 1 guy working the whole room,,, so service was not that great.
