After reading reviews on TA we decided on visiting Safa. Fantastic. We arrived around 10.30 PM, not too many people in but hey ho. Manager greeted me, he remembered my name from my email booking, nice touch. Got misen a pint, nice clean crisp pint. Starters we shared a platter, wow amazing. A curry each, I decided to try a... After googling the top places to eat in Belfast I opted for Safa. What a mistake. The service was perfectly average but the food was dreadful. How disappointing, and expensive for near full plates returned. When I questioned the strange flavour of the food I was told that Safa make their food that way. I certainly didn't argue with that.... Can't fault them on anything. Was there for lunch menu but was able to order a dish that wasn't on it. Great. Can't recommend enough. It will be over a year till I go back but I will be back.

WOW ! We dropped in here on the back of the Trip Advisor reviews and it didnt fail to deliver. The food was fantastic and was fresh and full of flavour. You could tell its home made paste that they use and the ingredience, locally sourced. The service was great and we were well looked after. This has to be... More

After eating local cuisine for days, I was so looking forward to eating Indian food here in Belfast, but I was really disappointed after our visit.Taste was pretty average of the vegetarian dishes we ordered; though my husband loved the prawns he was served, but I was shocked that we were served dal which was so stale that it was... Well it did take a bit of finding upstairs over a pub in a courtyard just behind a main street. But we enjoyed our first meal here so much that we visited again for our wedding anniversary. Nice ambience and soft music to complement excellent meal. Great choice of menu and courteous service. Highly recommended

Contemporary Indian cuisine, located on bank street in the heart of Belfast City centre. At Safa we offer authentic Indian recipes and traditional style of cooking. Ali takes great pride in cooking to order and grinding all his own spices so it really is the closest to Indian home cooking you can get. We also have a full bar and incredible wine list.
