We have now visited on three occasions, twice for brunch and once for lunch and must say the standard of service and food is excellent. There is such a calm atmosphere and the staff actually appear to be happy at their work. They are all friendly without being intrusive and the management obviously have them very well trained. We also... More

I recently met a friend here for lunch and to be honest something that I thought would be a lovely treat for us both turned out to be a massive disappointment. I will not be back. The lunch cost me in excess of £50 and was less than average. With so many places on offer in Belfast do not waste... More

I was here recently with my girlfriend for my birthday dinner and had an excellent night. They have an extraordinary atmosphere and spot on music. I'd you don't come here for the food come for the music and drinks. Excellent Gin selection and cocktail selection. I thoroughly enjoyed my French martini and Malbec wine. The food was delicious, for starters... More

Went with family for Xmas meal at 6pm sitting. Was like walking into a typical noisy bar - very loud. Music wasn't great - too much tacky Xmas music rather than jazz. Service from waitress was great. Gin cocktails were also very good, and starters and desserts were also good. Main course of turkey left a lot to be desired,... More

Lovely service, special surroundings, excellent value (meal deal for two - three courses, bottle of good Malbec £60). The live music was excellent, completely in keeping with the atmosphere of the restaurant, the low-lighting, the decor, everything worked. Highly recommend Bert's for an evening out.

Exceptional bar and service Came in for a couple of cocktails (French martinis/ Singapore slings) before heading off around the cathedral quarter. Cocktails were wonderful ! Best French martinis I have had to date! Shoutout to David Hagen!!! Enjoyed the music, and the service of the staff was exceptional. We were given breadsticks and ordered nuts as a bar snack-... I have been to Berts many times and loved it- usually fantastic, sensuous sounding Jazz and even the most amazing Flamenco band that transported me to Madrid. Last night however I was transported to somewhere like Ahoghill, with a blues band that were not appropriate to the venue! They were more appropriate to a golf club or a country &... More

Went here with my partner for a birthday dinner and I must say the food was outstanding barr one thing. The service was a bit much as in total we had approx 5 different servers. There was no entertainment until we were leaving which was a bit annoying as the fire exit door witch we were beside was left open... More

Myself and my wife spent the evening in Berts, had dinner and stayed on for the music. From the minute we arrived the staff were excellent and very friendly. The cocktails are fabulous, and also there a great choice of Gins. The food was very nice, and again the staff were great in helping you pick! Would highly recommend to... More

My husband and I enjoyed a fab meal here last week. The food is great and there is such a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. We were staying at the hotel and as part of our package had a 3 course meal at Berts Jazz Bar. Staff were more than happy to make some changes to the set menu to... More
