Cosy setting in the walls of Cardiff Castle. The staff were really friendly. The Afternoon Tea included a choice of teas, coffee and soft drinks. A great selection of really fresh sandwiches, fresh warm scones and a big slice of cake. Plenty to eat and we couldn't finish it all and were provided with boxes to bring uneaten food home.... More

This afternoon tea was given to us as a gift and although we have lived around Cardiff for many years I had no idea that Pettigrew's was there. What have I been missing, the afternoon tea was fantastic, especially the sandwiches made with their homemade bread. I recommend a visit to this tea room if you are looking for well... More

Nice place and very old fashioned which is lovely. You get the impression that they can't cope with the number of people who want to go there. The tea was ok. Cake and scones were lovely - they forgot the scones but we did get them after chasing them up - warm with lovely jam and cream. Would go back... More

A quaint Tea Rooms next to Cardiff Castle. The menu was extensive and fresh soup & salads are available, changing daily. The coffee was excellent and tea cakes good value. The venue is very clean and staff are very welcoming and friendly.

I rarely award a 5, but I couldn't fault this place. The cakes were to die for. I had white chocolate, raspberry and pomegranite sponge and it was delicious. The girl serving was friendly and welcoming and the surroundings were lovely. I can imagine how good it would be on a nice sunny day to sit outside and watch the... More

My aunty treated me to afternoon tea here as a birthday present. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Having been to quite a few different places for afternoon tea, I was excited to see what the Pettigrew Tea Rooms would be like, having heard wonderful reviews. The food was beautiful, as two vegetarians we didn't feel as though we putting anyone out,... More

I was joined by a business associate and we had a delicious egg sandwich breakfast. Lovely. Lovely. It's a lovely setting and the staff are very helpful. The chairs are a bit uncomfortable and you're a bit crammed in. Would love to come back and try the cakes.

Came here with my fiancé and his mother because we had heard so many good things about the place but wasn't anything like I expected as we walked through the door the staff just ignored us so we stood there and didn't know what to do, we then asked them was there any seats available and the young girl said...
