Have been here a lot before.. food always great, but poor service from all staff even on a very quiet Wednesday night. Staff wandering around aimlessly with smoke coming from the kitchen, no one came to let us know there may be a delay in the arrival of our food, as there was obviously something wrong. We sat down at... More

Came for a gathering of friends for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Were initially going to be placed in the restaurant area by the landlady but after friends having a joke a bit loudly we were placed in the lounge area instead. We didn't mind this because we were laughing and joking. 3 of us had the lasagne with chips... More

Had a lovely lunch here with my Mum a few weeks ago. I had the liver- lots of it and it was delicious. Couldn't manage a pub but the range seemed good. Service was quick and very pleasant. Excellent value. Could really fancy coffee and cake in the 'sunroom'- though it overlooks the carpark it could be pleasant in the... More

I visited this place together with a friend a week ago. The place is very accessible with good parking. Service was excellent, friendly and prompt. We were in a hurry and ordered the quickest item on the menu - which on the day was the steak and ale pie. The food was excellent and the quantity decent. All in all... More

Not the best of welcomes that I have received before. Great meal but.... Prices have increased and the service well below what I have enjoy before. Could do better.

Whilst the food was not perfect there were elements which were delicious. Service friendly not on the quick side but that suited us as we do not like to be rushed. Both my husband and I had the roast but my husband went for the two meat which was supposed to be larger but seemed the same size. However quality... More

We visited here twice in the summer for a Sunday lunch and an evening meal and enjoyed on both occasions. The Sunday lunch had a home cooked feel and was delightfully fresh and the gravy was amazing. Great choice of pudding and starters to go with it too. They had a new chef in the summer and the menu has... More

Description
The Caeffatri Bar and Grill is a privately owned bar and restaurant in the heart of Bridgend. The Management has over 20 years experience in the leisure industry and following the success of The Highwayman Inn, Rhoose, decided to embark on a new venture.

Situated off Coity Road, close to the Princess of Wales Hospital, The Premier Inn & McArthur Glen outlet village at Junction 35 of the M4, the restaurant is open daily for lunch and evening meal.

The Caeffatri has undergone a substantial investment to give it a new lease of life with a fully refurbished bar, restaurant, lounge and function rooms. The new menu has been devised by our Head Chef and offers a wide selection of freshly prepared dishes with all produce being sourced locally. Dishes range from traditional pub classics, steaks, fish dishes, daily specials, Sunday lunches, a freshly prepared children menu and not forgetting the Highwayman infamous Condemned Mans Meal.
