We were in for an anniversary Sunday lunch. The restaurant was very busy and with orders to be placed at the bar more than one member of staff to take orders and serve drinks really should have been a must. The food was served quite quickly, it was well cooked and came with a very generous portion of vegetables but... More

The food was excellent. It makes a change to have proper potato chips not frozen- they were yummy. The place overall needs updating, The toilets whilst they were very clean, these in particular need the most updating. The hand dryer was just cold air. The staff were lovely and could not do enough for you and very friendly and welcoming.

Visited here for the first time Food plentiful and very very good Small old pub though so not much space gets very busy and I would avoid the weekend unless you can book in advance

Three of us for Sunday lunch, so just fish and three roasts on the menu as expected. Pleasant service, nice enough old building, perfectly reasonable mains and desserts. Just nothing special. Good size car park some yards from the pub. Some outside seating but only at the roadside. It's in Pyle not Bridgend.
