Nice ambience, good service and food ok. Not nearly as good as the Bistro up the road and quite a bit more expensive.

We told ourselves that we weren't coming here again after an awful meal with awful service a few months ago but we arrived in town late on a Saturday and this is the only place you can get last minute. The service was a lot...better than it had been but yet again they sent out poorly cooked food either without checking that it was cooked or didn't give a damn and hoped no one would complain. Another example of a touristy place that doesn't give a damn and has given up trying because there will always be more tourists coming. We also learnt that a waitress who had worked there for a long time was now a Chef. How can this be? This makes a mockery of the profession and of the customers. I wish I had gone to the Chippy on the bridge.More

Don't know why this place sits at number 17 ??? The meal we just had there was so much better than dining at 'the Bistro' we can't believe it. Two mains, the duck and the cod , and a bottle of Chilean Chardonnay came to...£52. Same price as dining at the Bistro, but Llugwy's duck was perfect !!! And, the greens that accompanied the cod were fantastic. It doesn't open Sunday, Monday or Tuesday nights which is a real shame. Highly recommended.More

Here at Betwys y coed for a weekend. Llugwy looked good & had good reviews. So, here's another one! We were served by the supervisor, smooth service and helpful food delicious amuse bouche an excellent appetiser duck breast beautiful olive oil cake light and full...of flavour. The Merlot was full bodied. Go otherwise you'll miss a treat. Or don't but you will miss a treatMore

Very warm welcome to an attractive dining area. We were shown to a table and looked after very well throughout our meal by the same friendly and attentive waitress (sorry I did not make note of her name). The food was very tasty and it...was good to note that it was sourced locally. We will certainly return here on our next trip to North Wales.More

Went last week with wife, got suckered in by the £20 for 2 steaks and a bottle of wine promotion on our first night ion the village. Well, what can you expect for that money?! Leathery, overcooked slices of cheap steak, cheapy-cheap wine, the sort...of stuff Tesco knocks out for a fiver, or less. But - hey - you pays your money, you takes your chances, eh? Service pretty poor - they even forgot the wine that came with the offer! Pop along the road to the Stables / Grill - 3 minutes away on foot - infinitely better.More

Warm atmosphere, friendly staff & absolutely excellent food. Highly recommended. We had steak from the specials menu (which was cooked to perfection) followed by fruit & nut chocolate fondant with raspberry sorbet, the best desert I've ever tasted!

We decided to eat in this restaurant with a nice christmas decoration looking and an attractive 3courses menu. The presentation of the dishes was nice but the quality and taste of the food wasn't at the same level except the meat was great! The restaurant...was very quiet perhaps the season but no music was on when we get in, they switch it on after a bit. Otherwise the staff was nice and helpful. In the same establishment I will recommend you to go at the stables bistro.More
