Everything about our visit was 2nd to none. Service, food all wonderful, tasty and friendly. Lovely decor. And they had all the customers safely spaced out so even though they were busy we felt safe. And bonus, the dogs could come in with us. Can't...fault anything.More

We love this place. Not only is it a coffee shop, it serves breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, a huge range of drinks including local beers and quality wines, delicious quiches, savoury and sweet tarts, a wide choice of vegan and gluten free options plus...an ever-changing selection of cakes. If like me you prefer tea, then you're at the best place in all of Wales as it has a special tea menu with over 100 specialist loose leaf teas from all over the world----I had a "Golden Autumn" Darjeeling which was so delicate and aromatic. It has a large terrace area on the platform of the railway station, a cozy inside area with a wood-burning fire plus a heated conservatory, all of which make it super comfortable. Current Covid regulations are in place and all the staff have been well trained in those measures. Special mention for Petra and Liz for consistently friendly and helpful service. We will miss this place when they have to close again tomorrow, but I'm sure they will return ever stronger in 17 days.More

Having to cope with a local lockdown coinciding with our holiday and having to cancel our honeymoon twice and staycation being out of Conwy we stayed local. We went to the Alpine Lodge for afternoon tea and it was lovely, with warm scones, cream and...Strawberry jam, plus a pot of tea. It was very well presented and we really enjoyed it, in fact we went back the next day and shred one, have to watch the calories! The only thing that we missed was any Wi Fi connection, which nowadays is a main consideration for people in the area visiting.More

I came here for breakfast and afternoon tea, overall good. I ordered veggie breakfast but didn’t want the eggs & they wouldn’t replace them with anything else without charging extra which I felt was unreasonable as I just asked for falafel instead of 2 eggs...(& the vegan breakfast is priced the same tho getting less)! The breakfast was ok, not anything special. Service was prompt once we got in though. Afternoon tea was lovely, I was given cheese sandwiches as the veggie option but I asked them to put some chutney in which they did (without charge!) & it was delicious. Other reviews had mentioned only a small portion of cream for the scones which was the case but overall it was not a bad tea. The cafe is practically in the train station at Betws-y-coed and has quirky decor which is fun, it has a few vegan/veggie options which are nice, worth a visit if in town.More

We stopped here for tea and cake after a walk. Staff were friendly and welcoming and covid measures good. We only had a short wait for a table. Nice cup of tea and delicious cakes! Good to see the coffee shop is open again.
