Really did not enjoy the place at all. No atmosphere, poor food and a couldn't care less attitude when I said my meal was awful. The decor is modern but without any discernible style or taste - no ambience. My chicken madras was really unpleasant...- I asked a waitress to check it was actually chicken madras! Two mouthfuls and I could not face any more. Spoke to the waitress again but she was not bothered. The Nan bread was tasteless and flat like a pitta - I am used to a fluffy and sweet plain Nan. The pilau rice looked like egg fried rice. But it was the madras that was the worst - just could not eat it. I spoke to one of the staff and said I was leaving - left 95% of the meal - and when I said it was the worst madras I had ever had the misfortune to be served he replied that it must be from a region different to what I had had in the past. I am nearly 60 and have eaten curry for all of my adult life... he did apologise but there was no effort to cancel the bill or even make a goodwill reduction.More

Just had a lovely, no rush, high quality meal with friends at Abbasi’s. Staff very friendly and courteous and served us very well throughout. Food very tasty indeed. A most pleasant evening there! Thank you.

Nice restaurant. Not the fanciest food or decor. But they were super friendly and we really enjoyed the food. Surprisingly good.

Ordered online to take away, restaurant rang to say that food would be an hour, we drove into the village to collect, on arrival were told it would be another 20mins. Then another half an hour, then another half hour. Finally 2.5 hours after ordering...the take away was ready. If they had been honest about the wait we could have gone elsewhere! Upon the third time of asking we were offered our food or a refund and then offered our refund with the food. Refund has not been issued. At the same time that we arrived there were three other customers waiting for take away food, one had been waiting for 2 hours, another group had booked a table and waited far past their reservation time. Before eventually giving up and leaving. When we finally returned to eat (ordered at 7pm, received food at 9.30pm!!!) we discovered naan bread was hardly cooked and only one of the 4 portions of rice had been included. I would not recommend ordering from here’More

Booked 24hrs in advance for a 8pm meal. Ordered at 5past, drinks came 30 mins later and pompadoms came out after 45 mins, one hour we got our starters and one hour and forty five mins later received the main course. The staff worked very...hard but on this occasion the focus was on takeaway meals rather than sit down meals. A real shame as this restaurant was personally highly recommended by our neighbours who visited two weeks earlier, which proves they can do it. Mark & Linda ClarkeMore

Drove over from our holiday location. Eventually found a parking space (not their problem just letting people know). Went past a table of lads outside who said “good luck!” Didn’t know what that meant but had a laugh with them and went in and got...told “we are not doing take aways this week” On the way out I told a couple on the way in who were there for a take away don’t bother. Waste of time. Please be clear you don’t do take aways !!!More

Me and the mrs were staying in a nearby hotel and wanted to try somewhere else for our evening meal on our second night. After being turned away by a couple of places over the phone, we seen Abassis advertised and decided to try our...luck as we were partial to some indian food. We were able to book a table no problems. We arrived into a very smart, clean looking restaurant and were made to feel very welcome straight away. The menu wasnt bustling with choices but what was on offer sounded wondeful. Our starters arrived in decent time and were cooked to perfection not to mention a very generous helping (in which my partner had to give me some of hers to make room for her main). The main course arrived not long after and we were blown away by the quality and the flavours involved (I highly recommend the chicken madras) including the very large naan bread we shared between us. Very friendly staff and very modestly priced food. 10/10 without a doubt!!!More

My wife & I found Abbasi's Indian Restaurant when strolling through betws-y-coed's main highstreet. We booked a table immediately after walking in, due to the amazing food aroma. My wife had Chickpea Curry starter & I had the Aloo Tikki. Both were amazing, full of...flavour & very tasty. For the mains, my wife had Vegetable Madras which she thoroughly enjoyed. (Only reason I didn't taste it was because I'm a lightweight with hotter dishes.) I had a Chicken Biriyani & Garlic Naan. The Biriyani was delightful, generous portion with rice included. Enough to fill my plate twice. I'm happy my wife helped me out, because with the amazing Garlic Naan, my eyes were nearly too big for my belly. I didn't want waste any of this amazing food. Absolutely 💯% superb food, amazing value, great atmosphere, Restaurant buzzing the whole time with happy satisfied customer's. After a long day of hiking, Abbasi's topped off our evening in style. An absolute must visit whether your on the doorstep or 30mins drive away. Not to be missed, my wife & I are already looking forward to our next visit. Oh and did I mention the value for money? Much, much, much better than a £220 a night hotel restaurant. Sooo much better.More

Food great shame about the service, booked well in advance, arrived slightly early, restaurant was less than half full, got shown to our table, but server was gone before we could order drinks, menus arrived, again not able to order drinks, 15+ minutes later managed...to get some attention to order drinks and luckily got our food order in, drinks and starters arrived in good time, but no popadoms, and again server gone in lightning speed. Food was very good, especially starters, good quality portion size and price. When the bill arrived,we mentioned that the charge for popadoms needed to be taken off (which they seemed already aware of) As I’ve mentioned the food was great, service however fell well short of the mark, which is a real shame as we would have spent twice as much on drink, had we had the chance.More
