We stopped here for afternoon tea, what a gem, the view in the Gardens with the river created a fantastic atmosphere to enjoy thoroughly enjoyable scrumptious afternoon tea. We would definitely stop here again when visiting Betws Y Coed.

We had two evening meals here and the food is simply amazing. My husband had steak and he said it was cooked to perfection, exactly the way he wanted it. They even brought out the steak to show him before serving it up. Top quality food from a top quality chef. Lovely romantic atmosphere with excellent staff - attentive but... More

We ate at the Riverside Restaurant at Craig-y-Dderwen on our first night in the Snowdonia region. The atmosphere was lovely, and the food great. We sat in the bar / lounge area while we ordered our drinks and food, then sat and sipped our wine while we waited for our food to be ready. Once our starters were nearly ready... More

Everything I ate here was lovely and the service was impeccable - especially from Angharad and Michelle. Menu was extensive and very fresh and local. Particularly enjoyed the prawns in tomato sauce and the profiteroles with cream, strawberries and toffee sauce was awesome! Breakfast lovely too.

We ate here as recommended by staff at our guest house. The hotel is lovely in the restaurant area gorgeous views. Service from bar staff was great initially but it did take around 45min from when we ordered to getting our starters. The food was well worth the wait it was gorgeous starter and main and service staff very professional... More

Scenic venue for an upscale dinner, reservations required. Good view of the river, the restaurant is hushed and quiet, perfect for sunset and quiet nights. The food was good, Welsh with a modern twist, though the wait was a little bit on the long side. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Sunday lunch at Craig y Dderwen Hotel having read previous TripAdvisor reviews. Fantastic alpine-like setting alongside river Conwy, immaculately maintained hotel, restaurant and bistro. Interesting and varied menu, local fayre, very well cooked and presented, to order (not for the 'microwave to mouth' fans!). Professional and friendly staff, I'll be back. Note: entrance is narrow private road off A5 between... More

Food was good, the staff were very helpful and the location was great for Snowdon and beautifully placed next to the river. The rooms are a bit dated and the Mosquitos were terrible.

Great service and amazing food!! Wonderful evening meal for a family occasion! We had a warm welcome on arrival and sat down for a drink in the cosy bar area before being taken to our table in the conservatory which was looking over the river surrounded by gorgeous views. I had the Anglesey eggs for starter then followed by the... More
