Have been frequenting this pub/restaurant for many years and have always enjoyed but yesterday's visit was so very disappointing. The food was very poor indeed luke warm, mushrooms and sauce watery, garlic bread so hard, pasta dish was just acidic tomato paste, the ham and chips not pleasant the only positive was the wine. The service was very slow indeed,... More

We visit the Lamb and Flag regularly to and from our cottage in Snowdonia. We have never been disappointed in the food, service and cleanliness. Normally the service is quick and the staff very friendly and helpful. Haven't had a bad meal and is excellent value for money. Good outdoor space to eat, if our weather permits!

We stayed for 2 nights at the lamb and flag and it's provided what we needed. Our purpose of our trip was to explore the Brecon Beacons and The Lamb & Flag provided a nice comfy room to come back too. We ate in the pub both nights, the food was average but provided massive portions. The service however was... More

Drove to Brecon Beacons and decided to make a round trip home via Abergavenny. Called in for Sunday lunch having not visited for 2 years. Staff were polite and helpful, the food was brilliant and I cannot understand why it took us so long to return. It will not be long before we return for more.

Great food & a sizeable outside area to enjoy the sun while eating. Portion sizes were decent & not too pricey!

I frequently visit the lamb and flag but was disappointed on my last visit at the price of my starter and what was served. I ordered deep fried brie wedges for £5.95 and was expecting a little more that 3 small wedges, working out a around £2 for each wedge felt slightly over priced. Over all I enjoyed my meal... More

Great place. Very busy hence a 55 minute wait for the meal to arrive. Food reasonably priced but not plentiful in my opinion but excellent and tasty home made chicken pie.

On a lovely spring day my wife and I decided to call in for a lunchtime meal and decided to eat at an outside table. After a short wait we were able to order our drinks, look at the menu and subsequently ordered. We waited and waited, after 40 minutes we genuinely thought we had been overlooked; I enquired at...
