Andrew and his team provide a welcoming homely atmosphere, serving high standard home cooked food and a good variety of drinks. Perfect beer garden in the summer.

At the beginning of december around 22 of us descended on The Grofield inn to celebrate a christening. The meal was pre booked and although the place was packed, we arrived at our allotted time and were seated and served quickly. The tables were laid beautifully and Christmas crackers were provided. pretty soon the crackers were pulled, the drinks flowed,... More

As soon as we stepped into the Grofield Inn, we immediately felt welcomed by the staff at the bar. The place has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. We had the lasagne and the chicken pie for lunch and there were no complaints for either dish. Perfectly decent pub food.

Called in here today and even though they were extremely busy we were greeted by lovely staff. They told us if we came back in half an hour they would have a table for us. So we went and did a bit more shopping, and then went back to what can only be described as one of the best meals. At... More

The most delicious meal I've eaten in a long while, so much flavour packed in to a very reasonably priced menu. Very clean, bright and welcoming pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Kitchen is run by two young chefs who are already masters of their trade. Can't wait to go back as there are so many other dishes on... More

We were advised by friends that this establishment was well worth a visit. Four of us turned up for lunch and all had very good meals from a sensibly priced menu. The food was excellent, the price good and the atmosphere was friendly and homely. We will certainly be returning and will obviously suggest this inn as a good place... More

We found this pub when the pub we were staying at couldn't offer us dinner. It was a great find Andrew & his staff (or family) made us very welcome. We had lunch & decided to come back for dinner. We sampled the sandwiches, fish & chips, fish cakes & sausages with mash and all were delicious. The pub has... More
