Despite being late in the evening and the shop was trying to close down, they took the time to cook fish and chips for a couple of hungry, weary travelers. The staff was friendly and cheerful and the food was fresh and well prepared. Without a doubt, the best fish and chips I have ever had.

We were hungry and with 2 Standard Poodles in tow, takeaway seemed a good idea. We were lucky enough to happen on this wonderful place. Excellent, just plain excellent. Fish and chips were probably the best we have ever had and they were beautifully cooked. So tasty! I detest "fishy" fish and this fish is tender, sweet and beyond yummy... More

Only ordered Chips and Gravy. The Fish and Chip shop is open until 9 at night. However bare in mind if you go late, your options are limited. There was only chips available at 8.30, understandable. However I felt £3 for Medium chips and the last few drops of gravy a bit expensive. Also the shop wasn't very clean, but... More

Staff seemed to be otherwise engaged when I visited. When I did finally get served the fish and chips were nice and hot. Tasty chips however the top of the battered fish was enjoyable, the bottom was still full of cooking oil. Shame really as overall the meal was quite tidy.

Just been to Ainsworths for to get a chippy tea!! Oh my god!!! It was fantastic. The chips were perfect and the cheese burger was fresh and good quality meat. Fish was cooked perfectly and the service superb. A pleasant young man was behind the counter who served us and made us laugh. Brilliant. Defo go again. Recommend to anyone.

A great little establishment where English Fish and chips are made in the heart of Wales. All food cooked fresh from raw products whilst you wait and served up by very friendly staff. The fish is delicious

Just popped in for a quick lunch. I think the best chips and beautiful crispy cod. Spotlessly clean and friendly staff. Just went for the mini meal but it was a good plateful so excellent value. Added good portion of mushy peas. Just 4 stools at the window bench top - only disappointment no cafe
