We travel to Aber several times a year to visit our daughter at the University. We found this place after searching for a diffent venue for lunch. We must have driven past it 100 times but never noticed it before. I had tomato soup and a BLT ciabatta for lunch, washed down with a pint of we'll kept ale. All... More

Attended this splendid venue for our gathering of minds. Friendly and helpfull staff, the food was fantastic, nicely presented and extra veg was offered and graciously accepted. The duck crouton starters were divine and the beef for the main was tender AF. 10/10 would go again, and again... Yea again too.

Staff always friendly and helpful , I usually come here with my partner and pet dog for steak night on a Thursday which is excellent value for money always cooked how I like it . If you like king prawns you must try the king prawns and chorizo starter it's to die for probably the best I've had

Stopped here for lunch after reading the reviews on here. We weren't disappointed! We both had ciabatta rolls which were very nice but the onion rings were really yummy. Beer battered and clearly homemade. Worth a visit if you're passing.

This place was recommended by the b&b we stayed in and only a 5 minute walk away. My wife and I shared a starter of - Shredded Duck & Spring Onion Croquettes served with Plum & Ginger Chutney. For main my wife had - Slow-Roasted Belly of Welsh Pork served with Black Pudding, Caramelised Shallot Mash, Seasonal Vegetables and a... More

From the lovely Fishcake starter, the best Chicken Korma main we've ever had (see photo), to Chocolate Brownie and Apple Crumble desert (they were happy to put extra crumble on, but the apple was just as good), all of it was simply fantastic! I overheard similar comments about their food from a neighbouring table (I think some had the Chicken).... More

Stopped for a bite to eat and literally just had the most beautiful homemade smoked haddock and spring onion fishcake with homemade chips, lovely food, friendly service, beautiful little 17th century building, can thoroughly recommend it.

This olde worldy pub restaurant has rustic charm and genuine warmth from the owners and staff, so worth a visit if only for a drink. We have eaten in the restaurant upstairs on a few occasions and the food is excellent. The menu offers a good choice of meals which are reasonably priced and very enjoyable. I can certainly recommend... More
