I used to frequent Casablanca before I moved away from Aberystwyth but I hadn't been for a long time. We decided to go for my father's 70th Birthday and we weren't disappointed; the food is still delicious, it's a lovely cosy family atmosphere, and the...More

Delicious food, authentic atmosphere and charming host. We (3) had the lamb tagine, seafood tagine and trout Casablanca; all were lovely but the lamb tagine was the most flavourful. If we didn't give it 5 out of 5 then it's because it was all we...More

Casablanca opened specially for our group of 9, having a reunion dinner celebrating 50 years since leaving Aberystwyth University! Joe produced a lavish and tasty meal for us in very convivial surroundings. Just right for our group.

Le Casablanca has great, homemade fresh mediterranean cuisine which has never disappointed us in the years we have had meals there. We have have lovely, tasty, and unfussy North African couscous there, as well as Tagines, lovely vegetarian meals as well. You can bring your own wine, so this also makes the evening quite reasonably priced. Jo, the owner and chef, is always attentive to details and makes sure you are happy and having a good time. This personal touch adds to the homely, relaxed atmosphere which has made us go back again and again over the years. You'll eat very well, you'll be welcome, and you will feel that you've had a relaxing time with friendly people around you! Highly recommended.
