Found this little cafe by chance today, just down an alleyway near the castle. It's delightful! Lovely, tasteful decor and not too large. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lunch was good. Pretty good value for somewhere so near the castle. Really glad we found this place, I'd definitely eat there again when I'm in Windsor.

This delightful cafe and lunch spot is just around the corner from the entrance to Windsor Castle. It offers a quiet refuge from the crowds. They prepared for us baguettes full of whatever we liked from their long list of ingredients. Our lunch was delicious and so fresh! My husband enjoyed a cappuccino along with his meal as well. I... Excellent café. Quite small so you may have to wait for a table, but absolutely worth it. There was so much choice of sandwich filling that you wondered that could the quality survive with so many ingredients on offer, but they were extremely delicious. My coronation chicken and avocado was the best ever.

Loved this place. Great sandwich & scones with clotted cream & jam with a pot of tea! So wonderfully English in the most beautiful English town. Staff friendly & helpful. Right near statue of Queen Victoria. They also serve full English breakfast. Don't miss it!

Cute local place rather than another franchise. It's lovely that it's all made there so you can customize your sandwiches, while cakes do not taste like shop bought cakes. Having said that, it is not a special romantic spot. Just a simple cafe to stop if you want a quick bite. Not a meeting place. The prices for mid Windsor... More

I've used Limes for a catered lunch at the office and for lunches generally. The food is fresh, good quality and accommodates different dietary requirements. The staff are friendly and brilliant.

Found this lovely café in Windsor, very friendly, efficient, very good service. I requested a gluten free toasted sandwich and the attention to detail was excellent, my sandwich was wrapped in baking parchment to avoid cross contamination from wheat based products, food was delicious, can't thank Limes enough. Would certainly recommend to others needing a GF option.

Visiting Windsor for the day before a family event this evening. Last visited Windsor in the wintertime. Today, glorious sunshine, very warm. Needed a caffeine boost. We usually go for well known high street coffee shops but decided to give a local cafe the business instead. So very pleased that we did! Delicious ploughman's lunch and hand carved ham salad... Spotted the Limes notice board upon leaving Windsor Castle, this tea room is down a little side street by Edinburgh Wool Mill. Ordered the afternoon tea which came with home made scones. By far the best I have ever tasted, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Shall definitely go back when I return to Windsor
