Saturday, drizzling, damp, visit to Salisbury for a plod and potter. Hmm, lunchtime, where shall we go? Fisherton Gallery, haven't been there for a while. And why not we asked ourselves after the most delicious sandwich of sourdough bread with a hummus & yogurt dressing, salad leaves, slices of cucumber and lamb meatballs flavoured with herbs! If I had turned... More

Thanks for your review, Nicola. We changed the menu very recently so it's great to hear you enjoyed your lamb meatball sandwich, I'll pass your lovely comments on to the chef. Hope you enjoyed exploring the rest of the mill afterwards! More

Good food, drink and service with a smile. This local gem is consistently excellent and I would recommend it to anyone. Have a look around the gallery and the new fabric shop in the courtyard as well.

Met at Fisherton Mill with a couple of colleagues today. Very relaxed atmosphere and we were not hurried at all. The soup of the day - chunky vegetable - was delicious and good value. The cakes and tarts also looked gorgeous but we were full after the soup so did not succumb.

A mouth watering display of cakes to have with a cafetiere of coffee, then lunch can be smoked salmon and prawns with lemon mayonnaise on focaccia or all sorts of other goodies. The lots of interesting art to browse.

This is our favourite lunch time stop in Salisbury but If you go at weekends go early to secure a table. The menu is small but when the soup is so good we always find something delicious. There is a small but perfectly formed children's menu if home made dishes (no preformed chicken gouging here, I was initially disappointed that... More

Enjoyed a light lunch of sandwiches and salad. Very helpful and polite staff and the food was very nicely served and presented. I feel a bit highly priced on certain dishes, hence why we just chose simple sandwiches.

Went to the cafe & had a coffee and cheese scone. The cheese scone was the best I have ever tasted. The shop itself takes ages to walk around as there is so much to see. I will be letting people know what a gem of a place this is.

Superb cakes, lovely cup of tea and great surroundings. Some very interesting bits of artwork on display and for sale. All tucked away off the more worn-out end of Fisherton Street. Well worth a visit.

My favourite place in Salisbury for alight meal or just a coffee and cake. The food is fabulous, freshly prepared and beautifully flavoured. As for the cakes, both the berry meringues and lemon tart are to die for.
