Booked a table for 12 of us for my partners birthday. I had mushroom in a cream, garlic sauce and garlic bread which was really nice and for main course I had green Thai chicken curry. The main courses were a really good size (portion wise) and I tried some of my partners chips which were really nice. The atmosphere... More

It was my birthday and we had my partners family and my own altogether for the first time. The menu was suitable for all with a good choice and price, the food was good but one of the meals was over done which they took off the bill. Very friendly staff and polite, we all enjoyed the atmosphere.

Been here a few times now and I can't fault it. The staff are really lovely and helpful. Nothing seems too much trouble. And the food is excellent. Lots of choices, home cooked and large portions. Really good value for money too. I can't think of anything negative.... Lovely little beer garden too.

Just had the best Sunday Lunch in ages at the Plough Inn Burton Salmon. Staff were friendly, food was great and hot with a large variety of vegetables. Not the cheapest but you definitely get what you pay for.

We live close to the Plough we have eaten there 3 times for Sunday lunch eating different choices from the menu, 3 times we have been served excellent food, i learned after first visit to ask for small portion, the 'normal' size is far too big for me. Friendly Pub,pleasant staff. Good value

Went to the plough for lunch midweek, it was quiet, not many in. I ordered a burger and the bread and the burger looked okay but tasted really really burnt, I was asked if I was enjoying my meal, I said no I've had to spit some of it out as its burnt and I can't eat the rest of... More

Well I am not going to give a review of the Plough at Burton Salmon I am just going to say that as I was land lady there in 1976 in those days it was owned by Scottish and Newcastle Breweries and we were just starting out with them so we were asked to go and manage The Plough. There... More

Went full of expectation that the food would be as fabulous as it was with the previous owners. My partner had gammon and chips which was okay but you can't really,go wrong with that. I ordered Thai Red Curry. What a complete disappointment. It looked and tasted nothing like a Thai curry sadly. It was more like a rogan josh,... More

Went with family, didn't want a full Sunday lunch so chef offered to make sandwiches which were not on Sunday lunch menu. Made us hot pulled ham hock and hot beef in warm crusty bread. fantastic and served with salad and home made chips. Really really good and can't wait to go back. Get yourself there it's a great place

Well I've eaten here twice since it changed hands, first time for Sunday dinner, after waiting 50 minutes I couldn't fault the food and neither could the rest of the family, second time I had a sandwich but didn't want chips so was told I could have extra salad (didn't get it!) but was still charged the same. Two of... More
