On a sunny day no better a place than to sit outside and have lunch. You do need to book as they get very busy so choose the later time and many customers will have gone by then so it will be less crowded. The pub is not far from Singleton village and is nestled in the Downs so you... More

We are so lucky to have this amazing pub in our village of Charlton near chichester, where we and all our guests who stay with us at Charlton-28 b&b can really appreciate all it has to offer. A fantastic choice of food, who cater for all tastes. The really best thing about The fox is the wonderful staff, who are... More

We had a fabulous dinner here for a party of 16. Could recommend it highly enough if you are staying in the vicinity. Make sure you book to avoid disappointment as they are always busy - the sign of an extremely popular and good pub! Well priced, well cooked and well served food. Very accommodating place with open fires and... More

My husband and I had Saturday night dinner. We were sat behind a table of 6 people who decided to chat to a couple on another table over the other side of the restaurant and I found it very loud. I didn't want to know how their local football team had got on and nor did some of the other... More

Great country pub, their own local ale (called "Fox" - a delicately hoppy brew), a log fire and a really tasty roast. We all (apart from Elizabeth - who had [to her] a delicious fish pie) had the roast beef, having decided this half way round the walk when we were beginning to feel hungry. We were not disappointed, even... More

Visited on a damp Saturday. We were warmly welcomed by Chris, who without fuss (we hadn't booked),allocated us a table,at what was obviously a busy lunchtime. The mezze sharing platter hit the spot,as did our mains ( scallop risotto & large Portobello mushroom ).We accompanied our food with 2 small glasses of white wine ( Chablis & a local vineyard offering),both of which... The fox goes free is a great treat. Marvellous old building with beams, roaring fires, lovely bar and separate restaurant. Great choice of dishes. Loads of parking space. Definitely going back.

Met my cousin for lunch here, this pub is warm and cosy and very welcoming. The menu was varied and the portion sizes where very generous. There is a large car park next to the pub which is very convenient and you can book a table via their website and also view the menu etc.
