We pre booked a Sunday lunch here as we were visiting nearby and I had heard it was a lovely place to stop for tea and cake; when I looked up the details I saw they had lunch too. We also wanted to mention we had two dogs. Upon arrival I was a little surprised when the person greeting us... More

Stumbled across this cafe whilst visiting the saddlery next door. The surroundings were lovely and the food was of a good standard. I do however think it was expensive for what it was. We didn't find out until after that the cupcakes were £3 each, I thought that was quite a lot considering they were tiny.

We visited here wanting a quick full English after spending a few hours driving, I am a frequent visitor next door and to the vets at the rear so I'd always wanted to give it a go. Well, I can safely say we won't be returning. There was one table remaining downstairs when we arrived, we were handed menus and... More

Quaint, quality and wonderful service. From a delicious cooked breakfast to Beautiful homemade style cakes, Wellies is a breath of fresh air in a world of chain establishments. A real treat with sensible prices and lovely service, set in a working farm courtyard amidst the Sussex countryside every trip here has been good. Visit and enjoy!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The slice of cake was far too large. It is a little off the beaten track, but worth hunting down.

I was very excited to take my first trip to Wellies café, having been given a glowing recommendation. Sadly this 1st visit will my only visit. I entered the café, there were only 3 other couples there. I was kept waiting by the door for 5 mins before the chatting in the kitchen stopped and someone finally came out to... More

Had excellent, late breakfasts here on Sunday...good eggs, tasty bacon, friendly staff. All slightly marred by having to see and hear the kind staff being openly berated for 'inefficiency'. Unnecessary and not very professional.

Yesterday was our 5th visit to wellies, we found this cafe by chance on our way to the lavant stables. Each time we have visited the food has been fabulous, there is a breakfast menu until 12ish we have enjoyed the full breakfast and the scrambled egg on toast always freshly cooked with fresh ingredients looks great on the plate... We visited for lunch on a Saturday, on the way to Chichester. The cafe is in a lovely converted barn and has a wide selection of wholesome food on the menu. The staff were very attentive and even held our little one for a bit so we could eat properly - big bonus for new parents :) Definitely worth a... More
