Visited here after I had a meal over the road in café rouge, I thought would finish my night on a high as it was so good at the restaurant, and I wasn't disappointed, the real ale is spot on and the staff are great, as are the customers, I was made to feel so welcome, finished off what was... A lovely little traditional pub tooked away behind the Belgrade Theatre. Perfect for a pre-show meal and drink. I opted for the excellent bangers & mash and a lovely pint of Magnum IPA. Good pub grub. Why can't all city centre pubs be like this?!

This is a traditional pub. It serves decent real ales. The menu is a typical pub grub but is well priced and very well executed - simply and without frills

The reviews were correct. Amazing Sunday roast....just like your mum makes it. Lamb was deliciously tender. Selection of ales great too. Relaxed atmosphere. 5 stars.

Called in pub for a spot of lunch. Got to be one of the best meals ever. My sis had fish chips and mushy peas, my brother had chicken with leek and cheese sauce and fresh vegetables and I had chicken stuffed with garlic mushrooms and fresh vegetables All this and 3 soft drinks for £32.00. We cannot fault anything... More

Why cant more pubs be like this?! A small pub with a number of 'snugs' offering a range of real ales and 'English classic' food, cooked largely freshly to order. Sausage and mash, beef pie, scampi all steaming hot, tasty with real veg. Recommended.

Great people, beer and atmosphere. The food is freshly made and has the best selection of ales and cider in the town centre. This pub gets a good mix of people so theres never a dull moment. The Old Rosie cider will send you to oblivion!

Great pub hidden away behind the Belgrade. Spent many an afternoon/evening in here drinking the superbly kept Bass bitter. Food very good but do check when they are serving as they don't late into the evening. Not the cheapest, but very good all round and well worth a visit. Even has a jukebox with decent tunes on, possibly not the... More

Every time I have eaten at Town Wall the food has been very good. Sitting by a glowing fire, a drink and a hearty plate of freshly cooked fish and chips is a joy. There are other classics which seemed to be being enjoyed by the customers. I shall go again.
