Visited the Oak Tree after an evening at work with my friend, was served by a very polite female named Louise, she served us with the greatest of respect and was well mannered. She even found herself involved with banter between myself and friend. Would be sure to recommend this place to Birmingham visitors!

We booked for a Mothers Day meal for nine and were seated in the basement function room on table 109. The place was heaving, but our table was ready for us and service was enthusiastic and positive. Servers were pleasant and cheerful. Meals were well received. Sirloin steak was good. Roast was good. The mixed grill was not as described... More

I have never visited this place in it's current form and will never visit again after a dreadful experience. I was in a 'Family and Friends' party of 18 which included 4 children between 4 and 10 and problems started when there was not an area for us all to sit together, even though it was an advance booking for... Have been a few times recently and have always had a good experience. The food is always delicious and cooked to a high standard, also really reasonably priced. The staff are always friendly too. They also have a vegan option of chilli on their menu which is great as not many restaraunts offer anything.

What a lovely day. Went for a walk around the duck ponds and up to the beacon and on the way back stopped off for a pint. Staff drink and surroundings were very pleasant, a good end to a walk and the food looked and smelt nice. Go for food their another day.

I have visited here 3 times of late. I have had great experiences on all occasions. The menu is reasonable and each time the food has not taken too long to prepare and has always been nice and hot. Two visits were on a Sunday, so really good if you don't want to be waiting around too long. Staff each... More

We hadn't been here for years, we were pleasantly surprised the menu is not just plain pub food, some have a little twist here and there. The nachos for sharing tend to be a little dry as there is too little sauce. The ice creams are very nice little dessert the downside is if the bar staff don't want to... More

Been coming here on the odd occasion for years including in the previous guises as the poachers pocket and then the Oak tree. The generous George is its best reincarnation and is a good family pub with a varied menu with reasonable prices for good portions. Would recommend for family meals and get togethers rather than for drinking even though... More

We opted for this pub because our first choice , The Hopwood, had suffered a power outage, thanks to storm Doris. There were plenty of seats available & we settled down to peruse the menu. We both went for the Hunters Chicken, on the £6 menu & our friends chose an all day breakfast & a fish finger sandwich. We... More
