Of the Michelin star restaurants we've eaten in this is very good but not in the top 5 . Having said such ratings are subjective and if you tried this place you wouldn't be disappointed . The atmosphere was very good as was the service from friendly knowledgeable staff . Great variety of textures and flavours . I have to... More

I have nothing negative to say about this brilliant restaurant. A warm welcome was the beginning of a comfortable and relaxed dinning experience. All the staff were fantastic and the epitome of professionalism. We felt immediately at ease and the service was effortlessly attentive. All the staff had enthusiasm for the food, wines and their jobs. The tasting menu was... More

On arrival we were greeted well and told to sit anywhere we liked. We chose the 8 course from the taster menu without wine pairing (driving and a little one to look after) The food was excellent in quality and presentation. I did wonder about some courses though, some elements did not complement each other. Wheat grass on top of... More

Caters is such as fantastic restaurant and we are so lucky to have it just around the corner from our home. It was a bit of a spur of the moment decision to go last week and luckily there had been a cancellation. We've been a few times and yet again it was an amazing meal. Great service as ever... More

I came here with my other half for a meal and we were blown away by the whole experience. They seated us and took our drinks order very promptly. They talked us through the taster menu and told us what to expect and within a few minutes we were being served our first "snack" course, which was delicious. Everyone who... More

We booked Carters months ago, great reviews and a baby free day were greatly anticipated. It offered a 6 or 4 course taster lunch, wanting to enjoy the experience without blowing the budget we opted for 4 courses with matched wines. Service was impeccable and the menu innovative with well matched wines. But, we didn't expect to leave hungry after... More

What a wonderful meal on Saturday. The food and wine were truly exceptional, and so was the service from everyone in the restaurant. I was truly made to feel my Celery allergy wasn't a problem. On our tour of Michelin star Restaurants in Birmingham this has been by far the best. And also one of the best we have visited... More

This place is wonderful - went for our Anniversary and it didn't disappoint. The service and the atmosphere are perfect - very attentive and friendly. The food is just out of this world - so different and imaginative and very tasty. Husband had plenty of the sake, so many flavours to try, he loved it.

An exceptional experience from the moment we arrive until the moment we left. As said: it was an "experience" much more than a meal. Each course was a moment to be savoured - only rescued by the fact you knew the next course wouldn't disappoint. Food-service- pleasure: exceptional.

Carters isn't just a restaurant - it is a food and drink experience. Locally sourced ingredients where possible with a true passion for matching wine. The staff were wonderful from start to finish. A very memorable evening.
