We were in Brindley Place, doing a commercial photo shoot, just before lunch one Sunday, when I was over taken by the urge for Italian food - there were a couple of suitable choices, but chose to dive into Zizzi, as it didn't look overly...More

Three of us ate, around 7:30pm, restaurant was relatively busy, but had free tables so not full. As a starter we had two garlic breads with mozzarella and onion. These were lovely and much larger than we had expected, could have shared one between us...More

Nice setting and quality of food good, fast and efficient service, but as with most so called Italian city centre restaurants overpriced, best to make use of Tesco vouchers to keep down costs

Eating out alone when on business is a bit of a gamble but the service here was really good. I ordered from the fixed price menu, little soul bread was a huge portion but the dips were very uninteresting and mass produced. The risotto had...More

We went late on a Sunday evening and were welcomed and in response to the question "what do you recommend" had sea bass - contrary to my intention to repeat the king prawn linguine I had the last time I went to a Zizzi. It...More

Description
At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food. The beautiful refurbishment of the Royal Mail's main sorting office (hence the Mailbox name) has produced a premier shopping destination in the heart of Birmingham. And inside you’ll find our Birmingham Zizzi. Our restaurant is split into 2 main areas. Our raised floor area is great for large tables or parties with some funky light fittings to get into the party mood. And in contrast, the lower area (towards the large windows), draws more on the canal and outdoor theme, with large floating cloud-like light fittings hanging lazily overhead for a more relaxed vibe. With outdoor seating for sunny day dining and only a stone’s throw from the city centre’s attractions our restaurant in the Mailbox is the perfect way to end your day out. Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather.
