My wife and I took my mother-in-law out in Birmingham for this Canal Cruise with Sunday Lunch. If you are looking for something different from an everyday Sunday Lunch this is wonderful. Before booking the staff helpfully (and accurately) explained the accessibility of the boat, relevant to an elderly person. Everything was wonderful but the things we particularly liked were:-... Booked a table for me and my husband as it was a treat for his 50th birthday surprise. We chose the evening cruise with 5 courses. The food was delicious and plentiful. Gill was a perfect host. The whole trip takes about 3 hours and after 2 hours it moors up briefly so you can get off to stretch your... More

A Sunday lunch had been bought for us as a present. Arriving in time for the midday sailing, we were shown to our nicely laid table. Due to the limitations of a six feet wide vessel the dining tables and space is somewhat limited. The cruise initially heads towards Edgbaston Reservoir then back to Brindley Place and Gas Street Basin... More

I am surprised at some of the, admittedly very few, negative comments on here. This is an amazing way to spend a Saturday evening with excellent food, all the more amazing bearing in mind it's cooked in kitchen little bigger than a broom cupboard. It's a narrow boat so space is at a premium but there is no claustrophobic feel... More

Me and my partner booked this trip before we came to Birmingham over the phone and we are so glad we did! Our hosts were so friendly on this lovely, relaxing 3 hour cruise with a delicious 3 course lunch and it was the perfect way to relax on a Sunday afternoon! The roast beef dinner was absolutely perfect, proper... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a leisurely lunch with an ever changing view aboard the Moira Rose. Setting off from Brindleplace the boat takes a route through the old and new of Birmingham. Our meal was very well presented and we were not disappointed with any aspect. Gill and the team do a wonderful job inside and Dave was... More

Six of us dined at the captains table.I dread to think if the boat had been full. It was stuffy. We were met with cobwebs, which ended up in one of the drinks.the food was very standard.small portons.dry bread.no butter. No salt and pepper.ice limited to a cube each.no boat commentary. Dreadful out of date music.no atmosphere.waitress had no personality.when.the cheese board... More

We were a party of 4 on a birthday dinner and we wanted to do something different. The boat was very nicely equipped for drinks and Sunday dinner and the numbers are limited so service is on the ball. The tour lasted 3 hours and took us around some very nice and some not so nice places but all of... More
