Chose to eat here when seeing a show as it meant we didn't have time pressures eating elsewhere. We sat on the edge of the balcony looking out over the street, was really nice. The food was lovely, the waiting staff where attentive and polite and the food was served in a timely way but without feeling rushed. During the... More

Ate here whilst attending Billy Elliot (superb) Service was spot on - nothing too much trouble and done with a smile and the utmost professionalism. Food was decent too. And we spotted the happy hour bar prices for the wine! :) Was also perfect for using table at the interval when we had our desserts served and fresh drinks.

The overall meal was edible. Nothing special. The choices on the main courses were unusual and I struggled to choose something I might like. I went for the chicken in the end which was ok. The staff were friendly. Wouldn't eat there again.

We have eaten a number of times at this restaurant, finding it very convenient when attending a show. Our recent experience was incredibly disappointing. We were quite happy to order and pay for the bread platter, after all establishments make changes , and they have a business to run. The bread selection was rather heavy, the hummus was tasty and... Nothing to find fault with, except for the meringue in the dessert (consistency of the very dry and brittle ones you see in supermarkets). Friendly staff - we always give cash as a tip, as anything added onto the bill apparently doesn't go to the staff.

booked here to combine with the ballet with the main attraction being a table held for drinks during the interval. I hadn't even looked at the menu or pricing before I came and was fairly pleased to see 3 courses for £29.95 on the table d'hote. We had the lamb, and I tell you without fail it's the best lamb... We are "friends" of the Hippodrome and always have a meal in The Circle when seeing a show, it makes a trip into town a complete night out - why wouldn't you? As ever the food and service was spot on, though we were a bit nonplussed that the complimentary bread rolls have now become a side order with hummus,... More
