You need to visit before office staff get there as it gets noisy. I had the steak followed by poached pear for dessert. You get what you pay for. Very good quality and reasonably priced drinks.

So good! The restaurant is well presented, lovely open fires and chesterfield sofas etc. Food was delicious and well presented. We had three courses each, two bottles of Rioja, two pints, cocktails, coffees and liqueurs for five people for £250. Happy, we will be back.

Description
The Physician is a grand building that presides over a cross roads in the leafy suburbs of Edgbaston on the Calthorpe estate. It has a large, well-stocked bar at the heart of the building, with rooms of all shapes and sizes spilling off from it – so if you would like to recline in a winged chair by the fire, dine in a grand old drawing room or indeed sit in the sunshine in the walled terrace and watch the world go by, this is the pub for you.
