I like writing reviews recommending good restaurants and I'm bang slap in the middle of the fence with this one! We (a family birthday group) had lunch there last Saturday - the place was freezing (apparently the heating broke down the day before and they hadn't been able to fix it). We were told that the fire had been lit... More

We've been here several times now under the new ownership, first time, brilliant, lovely food. But, since then, everything is smothered in garlic. Now I like garlic but this is too much even for me. Please chef at least give an alternative to roast potatoes and vegetables swimming in garlic! How about good old "ordinary " roast potatoes and vegetables... More

What is the point in asking if you enjoyed your meal half a dozen times if you don't listen to the response?! Waiter"Did you enjoy your starter?" " Me "No, the bread was soggy and not toasted" Waiter"Excellent,so glad you enjoyed it" What???? Even when corrected they do nothing about it?! Pointless. Bruschetta with soggy bread (not even toasted), the... More

My husband and I went to the Tipperary last Thursday night with 2 friends for a meal, it was a chilly night and we sat by a lovely log burner. We all ordered different starters all of which were delicious and 4 different main courses, Sea bass, chicken wrapped in Parma ham stuffed with asparagus in a lovely cream an... More

Stopped here for lunch on a circular walk from Kenilworth Castle. Staff very friendly and menu extensive (although we only had sandwiches). Dogs not allowed inside but outdoor seating very comfortable.

The inn has under gone a major overhaul and looks amazing inside and out. The origins of the inn go back to 506 Sqn, the RAF and WW II and they have maintained this with pictures and memorabilia from the original Inn. I could not fault the cooking of the steak it was cooked as requested through out. the family... More

Second time we have been within a month and each time the food has been of an exceptional standard, will be back, especially as we haven't tried the Italian menu yet. The owners are making a real effort and deserve to be supported. There was also a superb female singer entertaining us.

Five of us visited the Tipperary Inn for lunch. The staff were friendly and very helpful, making us feel most welcome. We had a selection of meals, and the sharing platter with steak, duck and chicken proved to be delicious and more than sufficient quantity for 2 large people, with tender meats and an interesting choice of vegetables. The wine... More
