Decent enough bar, just need to think more about bar/dance floor. Such a long bar and yet only had the top end of the bar open, meaning constant barging whilst trying to get served at the bar but the bar is so long it could have been avoided. Other than that, a nice place.

Booked a table for late lunch at 2.30pm. Sam offered various tables and l opted for one in the front snug room with a warming log fire. Lovely on the very cold day. We both chose from the full menu although there is a great offer of 3 courses for £15... worth checking! There was also a range of specials... More

Cannot fault the staff. The food was disappointing. Butternut squash and thyme soup did not taste of thyme at all, just squash which does not have a strong taste anyway. Main course, whilst very tasty, was small. £13.50 for a very small pie and a few bits of roast veg is not good value. Atmosphere/décor lovely, yet a bit cold... More

It's actually really big but has a great cosy atmosphere. Staff were very efficient and friendly. We just wanted a light meal and they do a great selection of small tapas-like dishes. We had a veggie selection which was great - and the chocolate fondant dessert with coffee was to die for!

Good beef roast with extra Yorkshire puds, which was a nice touch. Good service and nice relaxed setting. Convenient location close to town centre. Slight downsides are that the large TV showing the sport spoils the vibe and the price; 15 quad for one roast dinner plus almost another 4 quid for an additional side. Lunch for 3 inc just... More

Our tour guide recommended The One Elm, so we decided to give it a try. We ate with another couple from the tour. They ordered perfectly ordinary dishes, hamburger and fish and chips. Our order consisted of three pots and a selection of breads. Each of the pots contained a different kind of dip. There was a lot of lettuce... More

My partner and I visited for an early dinner after booking online. We were seated and ordered after a short amount of time. We missed the starters and went straight to mains although we ordered some bread and garlic butter while we waited. My pet hate is butter that's solid because it hasn't been left at room temperature. In this... More

After visiting for lunch today we left very disappointed. We both ordered the large superfood salad with halloumi cheese balls. The portion was far from large and consisted of lettuce carrot and a couple of peanuts. I have eaten superfood salad in many establishments and this was by far the worst I've ever experienced. This dish was £13 and can... More
