I booked this restaurant for my husbands Birthday. We arrived a little early but was told our table was ready, so a good start. We were taken to our table upstairs and I was so disappointed, I had asked for a nice table and tbh...it was probably the worst it could be shoved at the back against the wall in a very green, dark and claustrophobic room. I thought of saying something but my husband said its ok. We ordered drinks and my sauvignon came not particularly cold🤔 but it was pleasant enough. We ordered starters of soup and wings. Both nice enough. We had a little wait for the mains which I always like after a starter. The mains arrived my husband had the rib eye with stilton cream and I chose the lamb dish. My husband enjoyed his steak dish but I cannot say the same for my lamb. The whole dish was overpowered by the confit garlic which tasted bitter and just awful. It was hunt the lamb and most of it was so chewy despite ordering it pink. Nothing on the plate sang it was honestly the worst restaurant meal I have had in years and we dine out regularly. I would have said something early in the meal but it was my husbands Birthday and I did not want to ruin the evening. The waitess asked at the end was everything ok as I had left a fair bit on my plate I explained and she was very nice and came back and offered us a drink on the house. Aside from the food issue the upstairs room was so hot, they should have put the aircon on low. I actually couldn't wait to get out of there for some fresh air. Would I return to Loxleys I doubt it as there were far too many things I was disappointed in. The service was fine, the room too hot and way too dark and my lamb dish a disaster and I love lamb😏More

Had a lovely meal, staff attentive. Bit pricey and they'll take a credit card for a telephone booking to avoid no shows, which is fine by me Quite small so I'd book, especially in the summer and at weekends

Well reviewed eatery. That's why we went. Fab looking place very intimate and then the staff are right up in you, Hello I'm Annie this is your al a carte menu, I will start you on water, still or sparkles. And that's a nice shock....You are attended right away and know right from the entry you are being looked after. Busy place lots going on but never left waiting for attention, someone is always there to look after you . Food was fabulous. I had Hoi sin duck ,bloody wonderful, my bloody wonderful wife had Sea bass and that was filleted on request ( you have a choice).Wine menu was ok, Whiskey menu not very interesting and a bit of a let down. Service ,food ,and ambience all tip top. Definitely a place to have an evening out. Great place and a massive shout out to Annie who seems to be a local legend. She is one of the best people I have ever met. Mad as a box of frogs, such a wonderful person. Try this place . you will love it .More

My father and i ate here last night, he had the sea bass which he said was just ok, but hardly any parmentier potatoes with it. I had the fillet steak, which was served in two small pieces? I asked for it medium but it...came medium well, (probably harder to time it with small pieces maybe?) Skinny fries are french fries, not the thin matchstick type, and i think i got the darker bearnaise sauce and not the peppercorn ordered. All in all it was ok ish, and i just paid the bill, but given the reviews on here we were expecting better, sorry. On a plus note the place itself is very nice and comfortable, and main girl serving behind the small bar was very helpful and friendly.More

We ate here for our anniversary weekend! The food was delicious and the server we had was super friendly and very attentive! We ate the mussels to start and then shared the chateaubriand. All of which was beautifully presented and we didn’t wait long. Only...gripe for us were the tables were crammed in upstairs where we sat. It didn’t make for an intimate dinner for two as we were sat, with no gap, between us and the couple next to us. There was only a glass partition. It was also very hot in there as well - although this did get better as the night went on and people left. Overall I would recommend but just check where they are seating you. Also, a great touch was the happy anniversary card on our table!More

Had a lovely chateaubriand and enjoyed ever tender bite. Excellent service and a nice atmosphere. We would definitely visit again when in Stratford-upon-Avon.

My friend and I found Loxley's to be delightful in every way. The rustic beams of the ceiling upstairs lent an authentic glimpse of history. Our wait staff were knowledgeable and happy to accommodate our needs. We had the Lamb dish and Mediterranian Cauliflower sreak...which both came beautifully plated. The Lamb was cooked perfectly. The Cauliflower steak was ultra delicious with subtle flavors. The Kale on the Lamb plate was particularly wonderful. We each had Tiramasu and enjoyed the subtle flavors and texture. We thoroughly enjoyed our night out and would come back!More

I suggest you call Loxleys and ask if you can book the bar for a couple of drinks. Mind you the food is delicious, so you could book the bar then have lunch or dinner afterwards? Hope I’ve helped
