Iv been here loads of time but never got round to reviewing! Definitely one of the best restaurants in town... the food is always beautiful, excellent value for money and service is always friendly and genuine! Halloumi as a starter and souvlaki are always a winner! Highly recommend!!

If you're a fan of Greek food and want to conjure up memories of those amazing holidays and flavours of your favourite holiday taverna, then Kafeneon is an absolute must visit for lunch or evening food. Simple, great quality food, really pleasant staff and the best value for money portions in town. Get out of the cold dark wintery weather and drift back... More

I used to frequent Kafeneon 10 years ago on a very regular basis and couldn't let a trip to Newcastle go by without popping in to see how they are doing. Pleased to report we found the food excellent (perhaps even better than the past) with the new addition of a cocktails wall. Staff really lovely, friendly but not intrusive.... More

Came here with friends one Tuesday evening in December and was really impressed with absolutely everything. Food was delicious, we ordered from the happy hour menu which was two courses for £9.99 and it was amazing! Portions were big (the extra starter or halloumi we each ordered was probably a bit much but was still tasty) and the chicken was... More

Stumbled across this place on Facebook after seeing their set menu price and thought it was too good to be true but this place is AMAZING! Tastes like a little bit of Greece without the view of course!

I've walked past this place countless times but finally went in for a Christmas party. The prices were low, the food was excellent and the service felt like you were honoured guests. A real hidden gem with tons of architectural character in the underground chambers.

This is my go to restaurant in the centre of Newcastle. The vegetarian moussaka is soo good. Full of flavour, lovely fresh salad and bread to come with it. Don't be put off by the fact it is on the 'Bigg Market'. Good choice of light, fresh food and warm hearty food. Churros are delicious too! Great value for money.

We visited this restaurant after visiting the Christmas in Narnia event at the Castle Keep and we were not disappointed. From the minute we walked in (myself, my husband and daughter) the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were asked if we would like the window seat or would we prefer to sit elsewhere. We chose the window seat,... More

If anyone mentions Greek food i automatically think Kafe Neon my family and friends love this place. We travel around greece and over the years have made many Greek friends and as we cook we pick up all types of recipes this is the only place we have found that takes us back to those times on holiday and there...
