Possibly a contender for my new favourite bar. I had never been in before but our friends recommended it. It was a nice escape from the overcrowded bars in town. Really really really cheap drink and a nice atmosphere with a relaxed feel to it. Friendly bar staff. The DJ in the corner was a great touch. Music was cool... More

How this place is still in business is beyond me. If only there were an option to give a Zero star review. This could be a beautiful little hideaway, a secret watering hole in Newcastle. Instead it lacks investment in every area you could think of from basic plumbing to customer service training. Tasteless idiotic promotions (saxophonist at 11pm?!), sticky... More

The venue is much suited to the horrid side street it is located on. It's a beehive of tight students glugging unheard of "vodka" for very little profit. No wonder they can't afford to renovate their toilets... Sticky, smelly, a complete disaster.

The smell...oh my God the smell it is horrific. I asked the bar staff what the smell was and was told it didn't smell. The cocktails are disgusting and the toilets - I'd rather go outside. The bar itself is filthy too. Revs on the corner is much better.

I have visited mimos a few times and every time i think the same thing... Its always freezing cold and has a damp smell/feel in the air. The drinks are ok if your want a massive cheap cocktail for £3 or whatever they are! Nothing special! Typical cheapy toon bar! Which is sometimes just what you want!

I went in to Mimo's last night with a few friends to take advantage of the 2-4-1 mojito offer, NEVER AGAIN! As others have said, the bar has a bad smell and feels very unclean! Our mojitos were awful and were made with ice cubes rather than crushed ice! Terrible considering this place is meant to be a cocktail bar.... More

A few of the girls decided that we should try Mimos for Saturday night cocktails. First of all upon entry you are hit with a disgusting smell of damp. After waiting 35 MINUTES at the bar we were eventually served. By this point we begrudged spending our money at this place as the service we received was absolutely dreadful!! One member... More

I have nothing good to say about this bar... It's dire! If you're in town miss this out... Newcastle is full of bars, some good, some bad but you can have a much better night out by missing out a place like this! I find it insane that whoever revamped this dump decided to give it a new name, a... More
