I ate at this restaurant alone one evening between Xmas and NY. The service was very good but I was not impressed with the choice which looked like a bog standard pub menu only more expensive. I ordered the cured salmon starter and found the salmon to be a little string but OK and the pickled fennel to be fresh... More

Booked a spa afternoon with afternoon tea as part of my friends Christmas present. Had a lovely few hours chill in the spa, a lovely facial and back massage to then be completely let down by the attitude of the staff and afternoon tea. Afternoon tea was booked for 4p.m but turned up about 3:40 to a totally empty restaurant!... More

The restaurant of the Hilton Gateshead. Superb views to compliment the superb breakfast. There is plenty of choice and made to order options. They even had both crispy and standard bacon.

A nice breakfast buffet every morning with good selections and attentive staff. Lunch was from the same menu offered in the bar in the evening -- recommend the tomato, mozzarella salad, and the spicy meatballs.

A restaurant that is what it looks like since the beginning. Cold and empty. Service pretty poor, it looked like everyone was focus on chatting more than serving the 3 tables in the restaurant. Nobody checked the satisfaction and no question were made when we left more than half main in the plate, especially the supervisor. We ordered a dessert... More

I visited this restaurant after having a girly spa day with my sisters at the Ocean Rooms Spa. We booked afternoon tea with fizz and it was gorgeous! The staff were friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome. Despite it being early and the restaurant being very quiet we didn't feel like the staff were hovering over us either!... More

I been at the hotel many many times and the food never gets better. The Thai comes with more water than a soup. The chicken is dry. The duck tastes really bad. The burgers is just ok. The chips not great as well. Pasta comes usually overcooked. The wines by glass are cheap and you can tell it straight away.... More

The hotel restaurant of the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead, the Windows on the Tyne restaurant offers average food at hotel pricing, complemented by a view that is nothing short of wonderful. The breakfast buffet is well stocked in the mornings, with traditional english breakfast staples, and is solid fare (albeit at hotel pricing). I loved the consistency and the 2-3 day... More
